Clever organisational ideas to use in your wardrobe fitout

Most of us will begin our days by opening our wardrobes and perusing the items that they have to offer. Organisation can make our lives much easier, as it allows us to view a large number of items without having to pull them all out. If you need some organisational ideas for an upcoming wardrobe fitout, you have come to the right place – we have plenty of them!

  1. If the wardrobe has doors that swing open and closed rather than sliding, you can install some hooks on the inside that can be used for hanging belts, scarves and purses.

  2. If the robe features drawers, try dividing them up with organisers so that you can separate your socks, bras and underwear efficiently. This will be great for when you're running late!

  3. If your robe is quite deep, consider using drawers and retractable shelves that are just as deep; this will enable you to use the space all the way to the back with ease.

  4. If you want to use a wardrobe fitout to find shoe storage, make sure that the bottom has racks or slots (similar to a wine rack) where you can slot each pair in.

  5. If you have a lot of clothing that needs to be hung, consider having part of the hanging area divided in half; you can hang those shorter items top and bottom to make way for more.

  6. If you are the kind of person whose wardrobe swaps and changes, you should consider portable organisation solutions, such as moveable shelving and hangers.

  7. If you don't have a whole lot of room for jewellery (or you have more than you know what to do with) convert a whole drawer for these pieces by lining it with velvet compartments.

The truth of the situation is that you can use a wardrobe fitout to make your mornings much more efficient. Just make sure you think about the various items that you own and the space available in the robe – the organisational solutions that you can use will come naturally! You can also ask a specialist to help you come up with plenty of other ideas.
